Getting to Riga

Riga is easily reachable by regular means of travelling: plane, bus and train.

Plane
AirBaltic – flights from most major European cities.
Ryanair – flights from Germany, England, Sweden and Finland.

Bus
Eurolines and Ecolines connect Riga to most of the major European cities.

Train
Latvijas Dzelzceļš (Latvia’s Railways) connects Riga to Saint-Petersburg, Moscow, Minsk, Kiev and Vilnius. Find more information on the Latvia Railways website.

Please note that more detailed instructions, “How [not] to Get Lost in Riga”, will be sent to the participants later.

Visas
Citizens of some countries outside the EU may be required to obtain a visa to enter Latvia. Please check the list of countries that have a visa-free regime with Latvia on the website of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Convening Team will do our best to help you obtain a Latvian visa. Please ask us for such assistance as early as possible, since the process may take a considerable amount of time for some countries.
